The situation

An AgriTech organisation running leadership programmes for rural young people needed to show funders, partners and prospective participants what its work actually looked like on the ground, and why it mattered for the future of Indian agriculture.

What I did

A newsletter with a narrative arc. Stories From The Field followed a programme in Satara from preparation onwards, introducing the candidate personas the organisation looked for (leadership, network building, field work, data collection) and how they adapted across regions.

Research-led features. Can youth aspirations reignite ‘agripreneurship’ in Satara? connected academic research on rural aspirations to real examples from the programme. A second feature looked at the role of women in agriculture.

Why it worked

Development work is easy to describe in abstractions. Anchoring every piece in a place and in real people made the mission concrete for readers who would never visit Satara.
